JOB DESCRIPTION
Machining specialist is responsible for performing various tasks on millwork equipment including, but not limited to, set up, operation, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. Candidate will also be responsible interpreting blueprints and diagrams, adjust equipment in order to fabricate parts to meet specifications.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform necessary pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment startup and operation on multiple pieces of equipment
- Operate/monitor equipment ensuring quality production and minimal unplanned stops
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 5 years’ previous machine operator experience, preferably in a millwork setting
- Knowledge of wood products and lumber terms
- Ability to work on physically demanding projects in challenging environments
- May be required to carry items unassisted weighing up to 70 pounds
- Strong attention to detail, organized, production-oriented
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently when required with little supervision
- Strong problem-solving skills

- Schedule – Monday – Thursday 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Friday 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM, and overtime when necessary
